Having spent many years sculpting  clay and metals into forms using heat and fire, I am now on a completely different journey.  Putting aside those solid elements and moving onto the challenge of using paints to capture the mercurial movements of large skies, the unpredictable moods of tidal seas, the changing colours of seasonal landscape and the simplicity of a vase of flowers.  If I can evoke an impression of space, an atmosphere of a familiar place, an object that stirs a memory, then I feel I could be traveling down the right road.
