Lyndsey’s paintings are full of magic, with smiling faces, and the wonder of a world in which all is well. A Chalk Gallery artist since 2009, she has a well established following with our customers. There is always a story behind the picture based on careful research into the history of the place and the people associated with it, so take a close look and see what you find.

She says “Christmas Cross and Chichester Cathedral” was painted for one of the Charity Christmas cards. Chichester and Lewes make a good pair for the cards this year, as they were once the old county towns of Eastand West Sussex”.

We are delighted to offer you the original paintings of both of these in Chalk Gallery. Click on the image above to read how Lyndsey found her inspiration and the famous faces you can spot.

Each year she donates her distinctive and much loved images for charity Christmas cards and last year they raised a truly impressive £8,000 for SASBAH. Her designs on cards/advent calendars are on sale at Sandringham, Westminster Abbey, National Museum of the Royal Navy and Leeds Castle and you can buy fundraising cards by clicking here or from the Sussex Cards for Good Causes pop up shops. Our nearest is at Lewes House, 32 Lewes High Street, now until 19 December. (NB Lyndsey’s charity cards are not available in Chalk Gallery, but it’s only a short walk to Lewes House). See more here.
