People’s ‘psychological landscape’ has always interested me, how memories can become distorted and changed from our original experience over time. We all develop a unique interior ‘mental landscape’ helping us navigate our way through our lives. Some of these themes inform my painting.
In my figure drawings I use stencilling, masking and expressive intuitive mark making to create a compelling, unique perspective on the fragility and also strength of the human condition.
I currently live and work in Lewes, East Sussex. After graduating with a BA in Illustration from Brighton University, I’ve had work shown at The Royal Watercolour Society, The Royal Institute of Painters, The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, and shortlisted for the Arts Prize at Brighton Festival.
