Sally Goddard
I completed a two year Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at West Dean College in 2015, and continue my studies there with occasional tutorial days and workshops. My finished work is in oils - I prefer to paint en plein air whenever possible taking inspiration from the landscape, but when the weather isn’t conducive to plein air painting (which is frequently!) I will work back in my studio from sketchbook drawings and from photographs taken on location. Recently I have been working in the studio on producing Monotypes and I enjoy the immediacy and unpredictability of this medium.
I have exhibited at various locations across the South of England and for the last 10 years I have been part of the annual Arundel Gallery Trail every August. I love exhibiting during the trail as it gives me the opportunity to engage with visitors and talk art for 10 days with like-minded people!
